Do You Know Where Your Towel Is?

Happy Towel Day!

do you know where your towel is?

Towel Day is an annual celebration on the 25th of May, as a tribute to the late author Douglas Adams (1952-2001). On that day, fans around the universe proudly carry a towel in his honour.

Douglas Adams is my absolute favorite author. Reading The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy changed my life, in a good way. I used to create an illustration in honor of Towel Day each year, though I missed last year. This year, I wanted to start again! (we’ll just pretend like I had this planned out and didn’t whip this together yesterday when I realized it was May 24.)

And here’s a bit of a throwback…this illustraion is one of my favorites that I’ve made. (You can purchase the print here).

in the beginning...

Have you heard of Towel Day or Douglas Adams? And, more importantly…do you know where your towel is?

I have not heard of this before! But sounds intriguing – I started reading the book when I was working at Starbucks and a coworker lent his copy to me on one of my breaks, but I never go to finishing it! I should get on that…..

Love that illustration of yours with the planets, always have liked it!
