I am so excited today announce that the fabulous Kitty from Kitty and Buck & I have started a new collaboration series, “Color Me”! We’ll each be compiling our favorite designs, fashions, and products around the chosen color, and this month we decided upon RED.
This was definitely a challenge for me, since I never actively seek out things that are red. I found some real gems though, such as this gorgeous coat and uppercut design. Red is such a punchy and warm color, and I had fun finding these items while it’s been icy and cold!
What red designs or items are you currently loving?

lily cole | eight hour day brand patterns
Don’t forget to go and check out Kitty’s picks!
It’s been a while since I’ve posted an outfit or a fashion-inspired post, so I thought Valentine’s would be the perfect opportunity! Of course, the whole idea for this post began with this 5th gin bottle design…perfect for your bar cart!
I also might have a love affair for this blazer, but it’s way out of my price range!

What are you wearing for Valentine’s day?
Remember when I posted about my Joules dress a few weeks ago? Well, here is part 2! I had a great time wearing and shooting these outfits.
I really can’t say how much I love these Joules dresses. I have now worn this polka dot dress about six times since getting it, dressing it both up and down. The shape of this dress is really flattering; I had always shied away from wrap dresses because I thought they didn’t look good on my small bust – and boy was I wrong! This is one of the greatest shapes I’ve worn. Do you have a favorite style? Or maybe you have a style that you haven’t tried, but want to? I’d love to know!
I’ve blogged before about Joules (see the post here), and I am a big fan. I was thrilled when they contacted me to do a product review, and I couldn’t be happier with the pieces I chose! This is part one of a two part series, showing my two favorite women’s dresses from Joules.
How fantastic is the print on this tunic dress? I do love a good whimsical print. I wore this outfit to work this week, and the dress definitely put a smile on my face. Do you have any pieces like that?
If you haven’t already, definitely go check out Joules – you won’t be disappointed!

Oh look, my first What I Wore post of 2014! I was really hoping for a snowy background, but no such luck. It’s been very cold here lately, but any snow we get seems to melt away within a few days (I’m not complaining!!) but it would have been nice to have some snow for a backdrop, you know?
sweater | similar skirt | boots | similar scarf
This is actually one of my favorite outfits to wear, both to work and just for fun. This sweater
was a Christmas gift, and I’ve been wearing it at least once a week ever since. My mom knit this amazing scarf for me, and it’s the warmest, coziest scarf I’ve ever worn. Definitely necessary for a cold winter day!
I have some exciting posts planned for the next month, and I can’t wait to share them with you!
If it’s cold where you are, how are you keeping warm?
