Happy Friday! Today after work I’m headed up to NH to spend the week with my family. I’m looking forward to lots of baking, watching the Food Network, and playing around on my sewing machine ;) I’ll be taking a break from blogging until after Christmas, but I’ll be active on twitter and instagram.
I hope everyone has a Happy Holiday! What are your plans?
I have a confession: much of my summer was taken up playing Bioshock Infinite. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s an amazingly gorgeous video game that takes place in a city in the clouds, called Columbia…I promise, there’s a reason I’m posting this on Halloween! ;)
Main character Booker DeWitt rescues Elizabeth, a young girl who is your sidekick throughout the game – and let me just say, she is amazing. This was the first game I’ve played through, and I know it’s because of Elizabeth. How does this have to relate to Halloween? I adored her so much, I am dressing up as her this year! :) I’ve already got a great location scouted to take photos this weekend.
And just in case you wanted it, here is the game description from the game’s official website…
“Set in 1912, players assume the role of former Pinkerton agent Booker DeWitt, sent to the flying city of Columbia on a rescue mission. His target? Elizabeth, imprisoned since childhood. During their daring escape, Booker and Elizabeth form a powerful bond — one that lets Booker augment his own abilities with her world-altering control over the environment. Together, they fight from high-speed Sky-Lines, in the streets and houses of Columbia, on giant zeppelins, and in the clouds, all while learning to harness an expanding arsenal of weapons and abilities…”
Has anyone else played this? Or play any other video games?
Remember that Lauren Moffatt bikini we were all coveting this summer? Sadly, I don’t own it, but a girl can dream!
I’m so excited – I’m going to Isla Mujeres, Mexico in TWO DAYS with Sam! Not only is it my first vacation, but it’s my first time out of the country – crazy, right? I’m totally ready for a week of sun, teal water and endless drinks.
We’ll be staying at Privilege Aluxes, and it looks so beautiful – I can’t wait to review it. Has anyone else ever been to Isla Mujeres? I’m open to suggestions for what to do! Hoping to go snorkeling and see some sea turtles :)
See you in a week!
I’m so happy to say that I’m back to blogging again! The break was definitely necessary, and I can’t wait to start posting again.
And as you can see, I have a new layout! I made the move from Blogger to WordPress and I’m very excited. I wanted to put the focus of my layout more on illustration, which is my #1 love. Hopefully, you’ll be seeing more illustration-related posts from me in the future.
For the time being, while I am going to try and get back to my old posting schedule, I may not be able to post as much. There’s some fun things coming up for me and I can’t wait to share :)

I’ve been trying to get outside and enjoy the weather while it’s still here! These photos were taken in Newport, RI and I can honestly say it was the perfect Fall day. Have you been doing anything fun like apple picking or pumpkin carving yet?
Well, I feel like this has been creeping up on me for a long time. Ever since this happened, I’ve been pretty frazzled and stressed, and have been working long hours that leave me exhausted when I get home. Keeping up this blog feels like a job, and the last thing i want to feel like is that I have two.
I have actually had big plans for this blog with a new layout and a move to wordpress…I just need some time to focus on getting that up and running before I can continue posting daily. I’m almost there, but I need some time to get everything set. I’ll still continue posting on twitter & instagram, so be sure to follow me there.
See you soon!
