When we first arrived in Tokyo, the first morning we went right to the busy Shinjuku station, got a coffee, and people watched during rush hour. I was surprised to see that a large majority of women (of all ages!) were wearing these flowy, comfy looking pants that looked like skirts. They were wearing them casually with cotton tees and sneakers, and dressed up with heels and a blouse. So of course, I had to get myself a pair :)
And I wore them a lot! Seen below in Ueno & Odaiba (I did not, actually, hold my pants like this for the entire trip):
I had seen similar pants in stores around me before my trip but ignored them because…surprise? they’re actually pants? I was turned into a believer after seeing so many women rock them in Tokyo, and now I can’t wait to style these different ways.
I also got this amazing cat shirt from Nya Shop, a small boutique shop near the station. I’m in love! I bought the hat in Tokyo, too ^^
I have a feeling I’m going to be wearing this outfit a lot this fall. Do you have a go-to item to wear as the weather cools down?
I don’t know about you, but where I live we’re getting teased with the first hint of fall, and I couldn’t be happier. I love layering up and finally being able to enjoy hot coffee :) And of course, fall clothes are the best! I teamed up with StyleWe to find some great fall pieces. I’m looking forward to lots of black & whites, neutrals, and pop color. StyleWe has lots of great finds, from basics to designer clothes, and they have some interesting suede suites and sexy dresses. Here are some of my favorites!

What are you most excited about for fall?
Happy Cinco de Mayo, everyone! I wanted to use the day as an opportunity to draw a fun skull :> I’m currently sitting at home sick with a cold, but will be going to a local block party this weekend for Cinco de Mayo. Hopefully it will be sunny and warm!
Are you doing anything fun today?
I’m alive! You may have noticed I un-intentionally put the blog on a mini hiatus – whoops. The truth is, I was so burnt out from doing a million things that I just had to stop, you know? So I did. And it was exactly what I needed.
So I’m updating the blog to let you guys know that yes, I’m still here! I already have a few posts queued up with new inspiration and new cosplays, so hopefully I’ll get back into a semi-regular posting schedule.
In the meantime, here’s the only thing I really completed in the past few months, just a little girl in her scarf (yes the original sketch was done when there was about 5 feet of snow on the ground ^^)
Is everyone excited for the nice weather we’ve finally been having?
I started this post by saying “happy tuesday!” but is there really anyone jumping for joy that it’s a tuesday out there? I am jumping for joy that I got around to making a new product & print post.
To be honest, I’m not entirely sure why I chose what I did today…there is no way I will ever be able to afford this giant 4′ dunny ($4,999.99), but I had to feature it. Can you even imagine this in your house? 4′ of solid, bright red fiberglass in the shape of the iconic dunny. Amazing. What a finale to any dunny collection.
A bit more affordable, however, this this affetto sticker by artist Rose, aka barachan. It’s so darn cute, I want 10 of these to stick on everything I own. I know it’s not technically a print, but oh well.
With this $5,000 dunny I shared today, I have to know, are there any absolutely ridiculous items that you will probably never purchase but think are great?
