One year ago (to the day!), I was lucky enough to go on my dream vacation: Tokyo. One of the factors that terrified me of going was my strange seafood allergy; in particular, white fish. Over the years my allergy has gotten better and I can actually eat shellfish and tuna (not all red fish though – salmon is still a no-go for me). But white fish causes bad reactions and I was so scared that I was going to eat something that would cause a reaction.
I filmed this video talking about how I prepared for the trip, what I researched, and what I did when I was there. I am not a doctor, these are merely my tips, my experience, and my adventure eating in Tokyo.
Also, it apparently takes me a year to edit a video, because I shot this right after I got home and just never got around to finishing it. I also apologize for the rambling nature of the video; it’s one of my first ^^ But…late than never, right? I sincerely hope someone finds this useful!
Whoops, it’s been a while since I’ve done a post! This week I kind of just wanted to show off my new hair – which is a pink ombre! I’ve been dying to have magical colored hair but struggle because I work in a professional setting. So I worked with my hairdresser to do a subtle pink-red, which I’ve been keeping up using Overtone Extreme Pink.
And I love it! The photos don’t capture how vibrant the color is in the sunlight, but it’s subtle enough that no one at work can say anything. Who knows, maybe in the future I’ll go even lighter…
Oh look, another Overwatch geeky cocktail! This time the drink is in honor of both the summer games and Mei’s new short, which I may have teared up for. Have you seen it yet? It’s adorable and makes me love Mei even more. I even did a casual cosplay of her!
You will need:
2 shots of vodka
1/2 shot blue curacao
Optional: Iced tea (to make an arnold palmer)
Chill your glass ahead of time for a really refreshing drink
Add ice to glass
Pour in vodka, lemonade, blue curacao
Stir (or shake first if you prefer)
Add a lemon wedge and enjoy!
Do you play Overwatch? If so, who do you main? I technically have the most hours on Lucio but both Mercy and Mei are becoming my go-to ladies.
While this drink is great for a hot summer day, I’m personally ready for cooler weather and for the heat to end. But might as well enjoy this while the weather holds – cheers to the weekend!
I’ve been having so much fun jamming on my planner (Parks & Rec anyone?) that I thought I’d make some more free printable stickers for you to use! Last time I did a magical-girl theme, so I stuck with that and made some more stickers. Not only is it a fun drawing prompt for me, but I’m always looking for more stickers to use while planning!
Just be sure to use a good sticker paper (I like this paper) and set your printer settings to the highest quality.
Ok guys, time for real talk. For the longest time ever, I considered myself a Slytherin. Then, all of a sudden I took the official pottermore test and it told me I was a Hufflepuff. What?! I had a mini mid-life crisis, of sorts. I’ve come to terms with this and now consider myself a proud Slytherpuff – some days I just feel more Slytherin, and some days I feel like a true Hufflepuff. When I went to the parks I even had to buy everything as both Slytherin and Hufflepuff (o^ ^o) Maybe one day I’ll truly feel like either of the houses…
This weekend I felt the need to show some low-key Hufflepuff pride. I wore my Hufflepuff pin and “Wizard in Training” pin from The Clever Clove.
