Today I thought I’d share something I haven’t done in a while…share a drink recipe! And not only is this just a drink recipe, it’s inspired by the game Bioshock Infinite.
You will need:
- 4 shots of white tequila (we like Camarena)
- 1.5 shots of triple sec
- 1/2 shot blue curaçao
- 1 cup limeade (we prefer this over sugary margarita mix, but use what you prefer!)
- Juice of 1/2 lime
- Salt for rims
- Use lime juice to wet the rim of the glasses, and dip into salt
- Add tequila, triple sec, curaçao, limeade, lime juice to a shaker and mix well.
- Serve over 1 large ice cube
I’m thinking of making this into a series, Nerdy Cocktails, but I’m not sure how often I’d be able to update. Would you be interested in that series?
If you end up making this, I’d love to see your photos!
Hi everyone, I’m so excited to share my newest cosplay photos, (yet another) Elizabeth Comstock from Bioshock Infinite! I first wore this outfit to Anime Boson, and have been waiting for it to get warmer to shoot these photos ever since.
Dress, jacket, necklace by me | corset purchased and altered
wig found on ebay | circle lenses from pinky paradise
Sam did such a great job capturing the spirt of Columbia in these, and I’m thrilled with how these came out. The sewing journey is going well, I actually re-made the jacket twice, but in the end I’m happy with it. I’m not a beginner sewer, but altering patterns is proving tricky. I’m hoping to create more complex pieces as the year goes on. Does anyone have any good sewing tutorials they can recommend?
I can’t wait to share part 2!
Also, if you’re interested in following along more of my cosplay journey, you can do so on my deviantart.
I’m excited to share one of my 2014 cosplays with you, Elizabeth from Bioshock Infinite: Burial at Sea!
The whole process of shooting these was…a process. I’m not used to shooting in such a public place (Foxwoods Casino), so that was something to get used to. I’m really pleased with the results, though! The costume itself was pretty easy to make, just an altered blouse, a pencil skirt and embellishments here and there.
You also can’t exactly tell in these photos, but I’m wearing a wig and bright blue contacts! I probably won’t be wearing this to any conventions, but I’ll definitely be wearing the individual pieces to work!
This weekend I’ll be away at Anime Boston wearing yet another version of this character (I swear I do have other costumes…). I’m so excited! Is anyone else going? If not, do you have any plans for this first weekend in Spring?
Well, I started this illustration about five months ago, and it’s finally finished. Like I had mentioned in a previous post, it’s terribly hard to find time to create anything personal, but I’m still going! Since the second installment of this Bioshock Infinite DLC game is coming out next month, I thought this was fitting to share!
Remember when I said I would cosplay her? Well, the outfit is 100% done, I have the wig, I’m just waiting to go to the right location to shoot the photos. Sometimes it’s really a pain to have a layer of snow on the ground for half of the year!
I hope you all have a great week!
Continuing along with my love for Bioshock Infinite, here are the vigors of the game, illustrated by me! This was a super fun little side project that I’ve been working on in my spare time over the past few months, and I’m happy with how they turned out. I mean, aren’t these some pretty fun looking bottles?
And because it’s Monday again (meh), I hope you all have a great week ahead!
