OMG am I back with another geeky cocktail? You bet I am! To stick in the theme of previous drinks, this falls in line with Overwatch’s brand new Paris Map!
This cocktail uses two french liquors: Champagne and Chambord, a raspberry liqueur from the Loire Valley of France. I remember when I first heard this ordered out; I immediately had to try it myself! It’s kind of a classic for me. Pair these together for one very french cocktail to cheers the new Overwatch map!
You will need:
- Cranberry juice
- Raspberries for garnish
For this drink, fill your champagne flute about 3/4 of the way full. Add 1/2 shot of cranberry juice and about a teaspoon of the Chambord (any more and the drink will be too sweet!) Top with a few raspberries, and enjoy!
As always, if you make this drink, let me know! I’d love to hear or see how it turned out. And let me know if you’ve been playing the new Paris map! Do you love it?
Happy Friday everyone! I haven’t been posting a lot these past few months, and it’s been a year since I’ve done a Friday post. And since this past week has been E3, I thought it fitting to share some of my thoughts!
I’m not a huge gamer by any means; I play a few games here and there but there are some things I’m excited about.
It’s no secret I love all thing future, space, and sci-fi…and this trailer had me DYING of excitement. I remember hearing about this game years ago but writing it off since it was apparently first announced in 2012. When I saw this again at E3 I knew I needed to play it whenever it comes out.
ASSASSIN’S CREED ODYSSEY
I admit I only play the Assassin’s Creed games to free run and explore the different locations but I LOVE that they’ve included Kassandra as a main character. I’m guilty of playing games based on characters alone and she seems pretty amazing. Not to mention the romance factor of this game, which is intriguing!
SUPER SMASH BROS
I love that they added Daisy to Super Smash (or in my case, super mash buttons since I’m terrible at it haha)!! I’m itching to cosplay her (since I’ve cosplayed both Peach & Rosalina) even if her dress is a replica of Peach’s :P I don’t play Smash often but I’m excited about the new princess. Also, can we talk about Zelda’s new outfit?? Gorgeous!
If you watched or read about E3 coverage, what games are you most excited to play?
Oh look, another Overwatch geeky cocktail! This time the drink is in honor of both the summer games and Mei’s new short, which I may have teared up for. Have you seen it yet? It’s adorable and makes me love Mei even more. I even did a casual cosplay of her!
You will need:
- 2 shots of vodka
- 1/2 shot blue curacao
- Optional: Iced tea (to make an arnold palmer)
- Lemon wedges
- Chill your glass ahead of time for a really refreshing drink
- Add ice to glass
- Pour in vodka, lemonade, blue curacao
- Stir (or shake first if you prefer)
- Add a lemon wedge and enjoy!
Do you play Overwatch? If so, who do you main? I technically have the most hours on Lucio but both Mercy and Mei are becoming my go-to ladies.
While this drink is great for a hot summer day, I’m personally ready for cooler weather and for the heat to end. But might as well enjoy this while the weather holds – cheers to the weekend!
I’m so excited to share this week’s geeky cocktail! We’re calling it Cruisin’ for a Bruisin’, based on D.Va’s new Cruiser skin & the vibes on Route 66. I’m currently in the process of making Cruiser D.va, but I wore this shirt and wig to get some photos for this post. Once the costume is complete I’ll be making a full costume breakdown on the gun, shirt, and wig.
Cruisin for a Bruisin’ is a spin on the classic Tom Collins cocktail, which was very popular during the 50′s and 60′s. Traditionally it’s made with gin, lemon juice, simple syrup & club soda. To bring it up to date and give it a little D.Va kick, we’re using White Out Mountain Dew in place of the simple syrup & club soda. It’s light and citrus-y… a perfect fit for this drink!
You will need (makes 1):
- 1 shot gin
- 1 Lemon
- 6oz White Out Mt. Dew
- Cherry for garnish
- Put your glass in the freezer to frost
- In a shaker add ice, gin, and 1/2 a lemon’s worth of juice. Shake.
- Pour over ice in your cool frosty glass
- Top with mountain dew
- Garnish with a cherry and slice of lemon
This drink is part of the the Drunkenwatch series, an ongoing collaboration with Skowalz, AcornBandit, and silenced_knight. Go give them all a follow!
Let me know if you make this drink :)
Happy Friday! Yes, we have yet another Overwatch geeky cocktail! Drunkenwatch is an ongoing collaboration with Skowalz, AcornBandit, and silenced_knight.
This week we’re doing something a little different – Mercy-themed for her voice line “Piece of cake!” This is also based on the fact that we wanted birthday cake shots becuase my birthday is tomorrow :) So of course I used this opportunity to dress in casual Mercy and take some photos :) I’ve never done anything birthday-related on the blog so I was really excited for this.
This recipe was originally found on Bailey’s website, though we added a modification.
You will need (makes 2):
- 2 oz of cake flavored vodka
- 1 oz of Baileys (original recipe calls for Vanilla Cinnamon, but it’s seasonal so we used plain), OR
- 1 oz of RumChata (for a different flavor other than coffee)
- Whipped cream
- Mix the vodka and Bailey’s/RumChata with ice in a shaker
- Strain into shot glasses, and fill almost to the top
- Add whipped cream and sprinkles
As always, if you make this drink, let me know! I’d love to hear or see how it turned out.
