Nerdy Gift Guide | For Everyone!

SO it’s *almost* time for the holidays, but I’m not too late in some last-minute gift ideas for your nerdy friends and family!

Yesterday I went to the Geek Generation’s holiday party, and we exchanged “bags of awesome” – basically, “Loot Crate” holiday bags filled with nerdy goodness to share. I actually bought a few of the items I’m sharing today, and it got me thinking; what last-minute nerdy gift ideas would be great for giving?

Drink Recipe | Bioshock Salted Margarita

Today I thought I’d share something I haven’t done in a while…share a drink recipe! And not only is this just a drink recipe, it’s inspired by the game Bioshock Infinite.

Kyla Is Inspired | Bioshock Salted Margarita

You will need:
  • 4 shots of white tequila (we like Camarena)
  • 1.5 shots of triple sec
  • 1/2 shot blue curaçao
  • 1 cup limeade (we prefer this over sugary margarita mix, but use what you prefer!)
  • Juice of 1/2 lime
  • Salt for rims
Directions:
  • Use lime juice to wet the rim of the glasses, and dip into salt
  • Add tequila, triple sec,  curaçao, limeade, lime juice to a shaker and mix well.
  • Serve over 1 large ice cube
  • Enjoy!

What I Wore | Portal Style

Oh hi, it’s been a while? I took an unexpected hiatus, which turned out to be longer than it probably should have. I’ve taken the time to re-focus my energy and determine where I’d like this blog to go. It started as a place to house my doodles, somehow morphed into a fashion blog, then a lifestyle blog, then dipped its toes into the geek culture scene and now I’d like to position it to be a bit of all.

I may start posting things that differentiate from my norm until I find my aesthetic and voice again, but I do have some posts queued up that I can’t wait to share.
