I fully admit, I’ve gotten deep into “happy planning”, or planner decorating each week. I started last year and bought an even bigger planner to decorate this year ^^ I save all sorts of goodies from conventions and packaging to use as scrapbook material for each week. It’s gotten to be a “Sunday ritual” for me to choose a theme and decorate for that week. It’s pretty therapeutic, even if I don’t exactly use a planner on the daily. It’s mostly used to schedule blog posts and decide what to work on each night.
Because of that, and because I’m still trying to keep up with #ArtEveryWeek, I thought it would be fun to offer free printable stickers for you to use in your own planners! All you need is a printer and some good sticker paper (I like this paper).

Happy Planning! If you end up using these, let me know :)
(also, PS – I’ve made a separate Instagram account for my blog and illustrations
since my main is pretty cosplay-heavy – @kylaisinspired)
Happy Valentine’s (and belated Galentine’s) day!
If you’re not following me on Instagram, I’ll let you know that I’ve been swamped in convention hell. PAX East is on March 10 with Anime Boston following closely after on March 31. Between the two cons, I’m making 3 costumes (2 of which have some insane props). So blogging has fallen off my plate a bit, but I’m still trying to post weekly.
I am keeping up with my #arteveryweek, so in honor of today, here’s a little Princess Peach to say happy Valentine’s day. She was drawn over 3 lunch breaks over last week :)
Did you do anything fun yesterday for galentine’s? What about today?
Wow, I can’t believe it’s February already! January seemed to fly by for me. Does it feel like that for anyone else?
I posted one of my goals this year was to create art every week, and I’ve been using #arteveryweek to document. Creating something every day just wasn’t realistic to me. Ever since I started cosplaying my art has fallen to the side, and I’m hoping this goal will be the kick in the butt I need to get other things (like starting an online shop) moving.
Here’s what I created during January:
Emily & Tracer – Overwatch
Mila – Yuri On Ice!!
Original Character – Wedding Reception (drawn while at a friend’s wedding)
Shiro & Keith – Voltron (in honor of season 2)
I challenge you to create something every week, too! It doesn’t need to be a drawing; maybe it’s a scrapbook page or a fun baking recipe. The goal this year is to stay creative, one week at a time :)
Also – if you have any thoughts/recommendations on who I should draw, just let me know!
With 2017 comes new art goals for me! Over the past few years I sort of stopped drawing as much in favor of blogging, then later, cosplay. I’m now trying to find a balance of the 3 hobbies…easier said than done though, huh?
I’ve shared my original character Penelope before (here & here) so I wanted to share a few more.
I like using Penelope as an exercise to try out different styles; the top is vector (my typical style) and the bottom was drawn on Procreate.
Do you have an original character you’ve created? I’d love to see if you do!
Wow, can you believe that 2016 is already over? What a weird year. I won’t make this a New Year’s post, but wanted to wish everyone a happy holiday! Hopefully you’ll eat a lot of food, have some wine, and relax with friends and family :) I’m so looking forward to the next week!
I’ll be spending a quiet Christmas this year with my parents, and hopefully unplugging a bit and doing some sewing. Do you have any fun holiday plans?
