Happy Valentine’s (and belated Galentine’s) day!
If you’re not following me on Instagram, I’ll let you know that I’ve been swamped in convention hell. PAX East is on March 10 with Anime Boston following closely after on March 31. Between the two cons, I’m making 3 costumes (2 of which have some insane props). So blogging has fallen off my plate a bit, but I’m still trying to post weekly.
I am keeping up with my #arteveryweek, so in honor of today, here’s a little Princess Peach to say happy Valentine’s day. She was drawn over 3 lunch breaks over last week :)
Did you do anything fun yesterday for galentine’s? What about today?
I went to Rhode Island Comic Con last weekend, which is held right in my town. Unfortunately I ended up getting sick, so I only went on Saturday. Luckily I was able to get some photos of Princess Peach! You can really see the gold details – which I showed in detail in my previous peach post.
Also, if you’re interested in a costume breakdown, you can find it HERE!
This costume is by far my favorite that I’ve made, and favorite to wear. What’s your favorite costume that you’ve made? I’d love to see photos!
I’m so excited to share with you my latest costume, Princess Peach! I made her Amiibo dress for PAX East 2016. I actually made a different Peach for last year’s PAX – but I cut it short into a cocktail dress because my skills just weren’t there yet.
If you told me a year ago that I would be able to create her gorgeous ball gown, I wouldn’t have believed you. That just goes to show that the more you practice and create, the better you’ll get! I need to remember this little fact a lot more in life.
Click under the cut for a full walkthrough (with photos!) on how I made this costume:
Happy Thursday everyone! I would be doing my normal Friday post, but I’ll be heading out to Anime Boston tomorrow morning, so I’ll miss all of your posts!
Today I wanted to talk about a character that has held significant meaning for me since a young age: Princess Peach. I actually did a cocktail dress cosplay of her last year, and am making her amiibo dress for this year’s PAX! She is 100% my favorite Nintendo/Smash Bros character, and I can’t wait to dress like her next month!
So in honor of my favorite princess, here are some of my favorite Peach illustrations:
& I have to throw in my own Racer Peach illustration I did last year:
Here are some fun Peachy themed items:
Tote Bag | Laptop Decal | Earrings | Amiibo | Retro Poster | Ruffled Apron
Are you a fan of Peach? Which character do you always choose when you play Mario Kart?
