Now that we’re into April, I can finally say that con crunch is over! It’s been a crazy few months making costumes for PAX and Anime Boston, and I’m looking forward to having some down time and spring cleaning. I’m also really looking forward to spending more time on the blog creating new content and featuring other creatives. I’m back this week with a new Product & Print featuring a fun little animal theme.
One of our favorite booths at Anime Boston was Horse Fiddle Press – both Sam & I loved the quirky cat and shiba art (she got bought a shirt!). I especially loved the fancy shiba pins – they’re geishas! They are such a fun addition to any pin collection. Pin 1 | Pin2
If you’re going to go out wearing a crazy shiba pin, go a little more minimalistic in the home with a clean geometric cat print – I love this one by BlacknBoo. And yes, you can be a cat person and a dog person! (But if you don’t, Ellen’s shop has a lot of other animal prints, like this elephant one).
Do you have any favorite animals that if you see it on something, you have to have it?
I’m totally loving all this warm weather I’ve been having recently, and it’s just making me crave outdoor picnics and farmers markets. Who else is ready for that?
Flamingo Lamp | “Beets Rain” Photographic Print
The flamingo lamp is so much fun – imagine bringing that out at a party! Talk about interesting lightning. The girl who owns that would definitely hang that funky beets print in her kitchen, or any room really – I love how vibrant and unique it is.
Where would you put these items in your home?
I really have no idea why I was drawn so much to featuring donuts of all things in today’s post, but I couldn’t resist the cute print and earrings I saw! Now I am jus craving donuts like crazy…
Donut Horse Print by Martina Antoni
Rainbow Donut Earrings by Cutetreats on Etsy
I would wear those donut earrings every day – small enough so nobody would know what they were unless they were close to you…but you would know ;) And how cute is that print? It would make a fun addition to a whimsical kitchen or nursery (or even a craft room!).
Do you own anything donut-themed?
Happy Tuesday everyone! I’m dragging my Product & Print series out of the archives, and am going space-themed today!
I am in LOVE with this Cosmo Boy Print by Bad Odds – it’s so retro & fun. It would look great in a game or living room, no? I’m a sucker for any print featuring space or constellations, and massive bonus that this also features a retro console! I think the lady that hangs this poster up would also definitely own these Fresh Take Leggings in Pink Universe – how cool are these? I don’t typically wear leggings but these are so interesting I would make an exception.
Do you own anything that is galaxy themed or printed?
Hi everyone, I hope you had a wonderful holiday if you’re in the US! (I unfortunately had to work -_-) I’m bringing back one of my favorite series on the blog, product & print! And this week it’s Sailor Moon themed. Woot!
Sailor Moon Mini Print | Ice Pink Moon Necklace
If you don’t know, Sailor Moon was pretty much my idol growing up. I watched the dub young and had all sorts of Sailor Moon merchandise. She and Venus were my favorites (which is probably why I decided to cosplay Sailor V). As an adult, it only seems fitting to upgrade from dolls and plastic pendants to more sophisticated items, featured here.
If you’re a fan of Sailor Moon, which senshi (scout!) is your favorite?
