Ok guys, time for real talk. For the longest time ever, I considered myself a Slytherin. Then, all of a sudden I took the official pottermore test and it told me I was a Hufflepuff. What?! I had a mini mid-life crisis, of sorts. I’ve come to terms with this and now consider myself a proud Slytherpuff – some days I just feel more Slytherin, and some days I feel like a true Hufflepuff. When I went to the parks I even had to buy everything as both Slytherin and Hufflepuff (o^ ^o) Maybe one day I’ll truly feel like either of the houses…
This weekend I felt the need to show some low-key Hufflepuff pride. I wore my Hufflepuff pin and “Wizard in Training” pin from The Clever Clove.
Today I have something a little different to share – a combo outfit post, video, and lifestyle post! As I’m getting older I’m caring more and more about my skin, and keeping it young and healthy.
In this video I talk about getting invested in the Korean skincare routine and some of my favorite Korean sun products. Oh, and all my other tips for staying out of the sun ^^
One of the most important accessories is a sunhat – they’re cute, functional, and usually cheap. I’ve started wearing this going for walks on my lunch break, and just bringing it if I’m going to be outside for more than a few minutes. My skin is thanking me!
This hat is about five years old from Kohl’s (I couldnt’ find the exact hat), but here are some other really cute options:
Last month I went to Disney World, and I wanted to buy some of those cute ears before going. In 2015 I went to Disney Land and I felt so lame because I didn’t have ears, so I wanted to be prepared this year.
I bought these adorable Ariel ears from the Etsy shop Wishing4Wonderland. Let me just say, I have never had more compliments, ever! It seemed like everyone at the park wanted to know where I got my ears. I thought it would be cute to do a casual Ariel shoot wearing them!
When we first arrived in Tokyo, the first morning we went right to the busy Shinjuku station, got a coffee, and people watched during rush hour. I was surprised to see that a large majority of women (of all ages!) were wearing these flowy, comfy looking pants that looked like skirts. They were wearing them casually with cotton tees and sneakers, and dressed up with heels and a blouse. So of course, I had to get myself a pair :)
And I wore them a lot! Seen below in Ueno & Odaiba (I did not, actually, hold my pants like this for the entire trip):
I had seen similar pants in stores around me before my trip but ignored them because…surprise? they’re actually pants? I was turned into a believer after seeing so many women rock them in Tokyo, and now I can’t wait to style these different ways.
I also got this amazing cat shirt from Nya Shop, a small boutique shop near the station. I’m in love! I bought the hat in Tokyo, too ^^
I have a feeling I’m going to be wearing this outfit a lot this fall. Do you have a go-to item to wear as the weather cools down?
If you’ve been seeing my posts over the past few weeks, you’ll know this isn’t my first time posting something related to the game Overwatch, though it is my first outfit post!
I picked up both the Nerf This! tee and the bunny tights at Connecticon last month, and I’ve really been loving the combo together. (I did get asked on instagram though, and I’m so sorry but I can’t remember the vendor who sold this :< ) DVa is my favorite character to play (& Lucio!), and she’s so adorable, too. This inspired outfit is a lot of fun to wear, and the bunny tights really pulled it together for me.
Who is your favorite Overwatch character, and what do you think they’d wear if they went “casual”?
