What I Wore | 32

Well, today is my birthday and I’m 32! :)

This past year has been…something. 2020 passed in a blur and when 2021 hit I decided to make some changes – and I’m rolling into this new year feeling strong, healthy, and confident!

What I Wore | Casual Harry Potter

It’s been a while since I’ve done a style post, huh? I was so excited when a few months ago my friend Nate Buchman asked to shoot with me, and we did two fun outfit shoots in Providence!

I’ve known Nate through cosplay that dates years back – we met at Boston Comic Con in 2014, and he’s shot some of my costumes like Alice Late But Lucky and Fashion Wario! I was so excited to do some “real life” photos with him.

Today I’m sharing a mini mini Harry Potter-inspired look, with a skirt I made from HP fabric! Somehow I always forget that making actual clothes for myself is an option, so I was really excited to make this and wear a normal look, outside of cosplay. I also got to use my Fleur Delacour wand from Universal studios, so that was a plus.

If you aren’t following Nate and his photography, be sure to check him out on Twitter and Instagram!

Do you ever make yourself clothes based on your favorite fandoms? Because I feel like I want to make skirts with any nerdy fabric I can find!

Magic Kingdom Recap

Last week I had a mini Disney vacation, and visited Magic Kingdom and Epcot! I thought I’d share a more personal post, since I’ve been lacking in those. I wanted to feature highlights of each park, starting with Magic Kingdom!

First off, I had to wear the perfect outfit. Am I really a blogger if I didn’t? :P I went with a Rapunzel theme after seeing this dress.

Tangled Dress: Her Universe @ Hot Topic

I also went on a hunt for the magical #PurpleWall, and snagged a few outfit photos there. I have to say, this is my favorite Disney wall I saw on my entire trip!

We ate a lot of snacks, and Skowalz managed to take a “BITE” series of photos…and of course, because I wanted as many instagram-worthy photos, I had to try the Dole Whip (which was surprisingly really tasty!)

My 2 favorite rides at Magic Kingdom are Thunder Mountain and the Teacups :) I got to ride both! I really wanted to try out the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train coaster, but the wait was too long :( Next time, hopefully…

I have also done Splash Mountain and Space Mountain in previous visits, but I am terrified of both. I just don’t feel safe! And after riding Space Mountain last year, I was extremely stressed and anxious. I can’t be the only one scared to ride these, right?? Which rides are your favorite?

What I Wore | Black & White

Whoops, it’s been a while since I’ve done a post! This week I kind of just wanted to show off my new hair – which is a pink ombre! I’ve been dying to have magical colored hair but struggle because I work in a professional setting. So I worked with my hairdresser to do a subtle pink-red, which I’ve been keeping up using Overtone Extreme Pink.

And I love it! The photos don’t capture how vibrant the color is in the sunlight, but it’s subtle enough that no one at work can say anything. Who knows, maybe in the future I’ll go even lighter…

What I Wore | Low-Key Hufflepuff Pride

Ok guys, time for real talk. For the longest time ever, I considered myself a Slytherin. Then, all of a sudden I took the official pottermore test and it told me I was a Hufflepuff. What?! I had a mini mid-life crisis, of sorts. I’ve come to terms with this and now consider myself a proud Slytherpuff – some days I just feel more Slytherin, and some days I feel like a true Hufflepuff. When I went to the parks I even had to buy everything as both Slytherin and Hufflepuff (o^ ^o) Maybe one day I’ll truly feel like either of the houses…
