A Toast To Overwatch
OK, I swear not everything I do has to do with geeky cocktails! I'm again collaborating on Drunkenwatch, though I know that's all I've been posting lately! I have so many ideas for posts but not enough time to do them, so for now this series is taking priority.This week's installment is a champagne toast to Overwatch's 1 year anniversary! We didn't make up a drink, and instead are toasting using the classic champagne cocktail, Kir Speciale. I'll post the recipe below if you don't know how to make it :)This week we're featuring the usual squad of Skowalz, AcornBandit, silenced_knight, with special guest streamer Starbuck!
The whole reason I started playing Overwatch was to play DVa (who isn't even my main anymore), so it's about time we featured a DVa-themed post. To toast with us and make a Kir Speciale:
You will need (makes 1):
- Champagne
- Blackcurrant liqueur (Creme de Cassis)
- Triple Sec (just a splash)
- Raspberries or blackberries (for garnish)
Not pictured: we forgot to add the berries to the top for a little extra flair! Epic fail. They really make the drink!
Directions:
- Pour champagne into a flute, 3/4 full
- Drizzle in the blackcurrant liquor and triple sec
- Add a few raspberries/blackberries to the top
- Wait for the ingredients to settle, and enjoy!
Sam got me this cute DVa jacket for my birthday, so I took the opportunity to throw together a fun casual cosplay - nothing serious, and I already owned the shirt and wig. DVa is fun to cosplay!
And as a final side note to Overwatch: THANK YOU for giving me tons of art, cosplay, and blog post ideas this past year...I'm looking forward to lots of creative ideas in the upcoming year!
