Cosplay Breakdown | Lifeguard McCree (Overwatch)
I really wanted to get this post up before the Overwatch Summer Games ended, and I did! \o/I started Lifeguard McCree earlier in the summer as a fun little project since I had most of the materials needed to complete this. Also - the hat was so small, it wouldn't stay on my head! That's why in all of these, I had to hold the hat on so it wouldn't blow away ^^COSTUME BREAKDOWN:ARM
To be honest, I followed my own McCree arm tutorial that I made for McCree earlier this year! The only difference was I added an extra piece of arm to go above the elbow, and used different shapes and colors for the finishing. The rest of the process followed my tutorial.PEACEKEEPER
I used my 3D printer to print the gun. I found a free McCree peacekeeper file and used Tinkercad to add in the text of "Desert Seagull" and "Guard". The whole thing was 10 pieces that I epoxy-ed together. I used joint compound to fill and sand down the seams. It's primed and painted glossy red, and all the details are acrylic.BELT
The SAMF buckle was modeled by me in Tinkercad and 3D printed. I primed and painted it in acrylic. The belt itself is a long piece of 1/4mm EVA foam (found at craft stores) that's covered in a piece of scrap red fabric I had. The foam gives it structure without it being stiff. I sewed Yaya Han's black stretch vinyl over the ends using a zig zag stitch. The 2 water bottles were purchased on amazon.TOWEL
I created a print and bought a wall hanging off my redbubble!BACKPACK
The backpack is a simple rectangle of red with a black border at the bottom. It's sewn together at the sides and bottom, and I added a simple flap that velcros closed. The "cross" is ironed on using heat n' bond.Honestly, I was a bit intimidated to share these photos since I don't ever really share anything of me in a bathing suit, but it's summer and I really like this costume :) McCree isn't my favorite summer skin (I LOVE DVa and Roadhog!) but I do love McCree! Which of the summer games skins is your favorite?
